Ryan Gives Back To Bible Camp

On August 28, 2009 Ryan passed his Eagle Board of Review. Ryan led 42 Scouts/Parents for 2 days to reconstruct a retaining wall at Lake Waubesa Bible Camp. A total of 371 hours were spent working on this project. Ryan has attended the Camp for many years and was excited to be able to give back to such a wonderful organization. An Eagle Ceremony was held at the Lake Waubesa Bible Camp on October 3, 2009 where Ryan was awarded his Eagle Scout Rank.

Jacob Beautifies Vilas Zoo

On August 7, 2008 Jacob passed his Eagle Board of Review. Jacob led 14 Scouts/Parents for 2 days installing new landscaping at the Henry Villas Zoo, entrance # 9. They planted 6 trees and placed mulch around those trees. A total of 59.5 hours were spent working on this project. Jacob loves animals and is thinking about choosing that as his career. The Zoo has been updating many of the shelters for the animals over the last few years. Jacob’s project will further the updating to the entrance of the park. The Zoo has free admission and must rely on donations to operate. Jacob encourages you to visit the zoo if it has been some time since you went. An Eagle Ceremony was held at the United Methodist Church on October 12, 2008 where Jacob was awarded his Eagle Scout Rank.

Keaton Honors Grandfather at Conservation Club

On April 10, 2008 Keaton passed his Eagle Board of Review. Keaton led 98 Scouts/Parents for 39 days to build a shelter at the Stoughton Conservation Club. The Shelter will be used when the Club is teaching hunter safety. A total of 435 hours were spent working on this project. They also built two benches and a 12 foot picnic table. Keaton chose this project to honor his grandfather who was a member of the Stoughton Conservation Club and taught Hunter Safety for 33 years. An Eagle Ceremony was held at the Stoughton Conservation Club on Sunday, July 20, 2008 where Keaton was awarded his Eagle Scout Rank.

Jon's Birdhouses Add Charm to Hospice Centers

On June 13, 2006 Jonathon passed his Eagle Board of Review. Jonathon led 26 Scouts/Parents in building 30 cedar-gazebo bird feeders. Eighteen of them were for the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center and twelve will be used at the new Ellen and Peter Johnson Hospice Care Center. Jonathon raised money for the project from donations of money and aluminum given by friends, scouts and family. A total of 250 hours were spent on his project. A special ceremony was held in Jonathon’s honor on August 5, 2006 at Jon’s home to award him his Eagle Scout Rank.

Pat Runs Red Cross Blood Drive

On February 28, 2006, Pat passed his Eagle Board of Review. Pat led 33 Parents/Scouts in a Blood Drive held at St. Ann’s Church in Stoughton, WI. Pat spent 148.33 hours on his project and collected 74 units of blood. Three people are helped by each unit of blood; so, Pat helped 222 people!! A special ceremony was held in Pat’s honor on June 2, 2006 at the VFW in Stoughton to award Pat his Eagle Scout Rank.

Kyle Beautifies Aldo Leopold Center

On November 8, 2005 Kyle passed his Eagle Board of Review. Kyle led 27 Scouts/Parents in installing 6 Aldo Leopold benches and planting 4 trees (2 Ash and 2 Flowering Crab) in a local Dunkirk Township park. The park is located on the corner of Ash Lane and Lisa Lane in Dunkirk Township. A total of 130 hours were spent on his project. Kyle is the first to achieve Eagle Scout Rank of the 8 original Scouts who rechartered and began the new Troop 167 with Mr. Miller and Mr. Kretsch on May 1st, 2003. A generous donation was solicited from the Dunkirk Town Board as well as from members of the Dunkirk neighborhood where the park is located to finance the project. An engraved stone is located in the park with a listing of the donors and a memorial dedication to Kyle’s Grandparents. An Eagle Court of Honor was held on Sunday, August 6th, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Stoughton in his honor to award Kyle his Eagle Scout Rank. Kyle hopes all of you will stop by the park and enjoy his project!

Our First Eagle

On November 9, 2004 Benjamin passed his Eagle Board of Review. Benjamin led 11 Scouts/Parents in building a “Tree House” for the Nursery at Christ Lutheran Church, his home church. Benjamin sold shingles to raise the funds needed to fund his project. Everyone who purchased a shingle had their name stenciled on it as a remembrance of their support. A total of 194 hours were spent on his project. Benjamin is the first Eagle Scout from Troop 167 since 1987. A special ceremony was held in Benjamin’s honor on January 2, 2005 at Christ Lutheran Church to award Benjamin his Eagle Scout Rank.

In May of 2003 our group of intrepid adventurers re-chartred Troop 167 through United Methodist Church in Stoughton, WI, embarking on a journey that would take us to bike trails, camp grounds, and riverways throughout Wisconsin.
